Who the pathway is for
Accredited Veterans Service Organizations and approved Veterans-support organizations may refer a matter when independent medical review could materially clarify a disability question and the Veteran otherwise may not have practical access to that review.
What may be provided
Depending on the medical question and available capacity, Valor may provide record review, clarification of a medical issue, or a medical opinion. Acceptance is discretionary and depends on medical fit, record completeness, scope, and physician availability.
What is not offered
Valor does not accept direct claimant requests through this pathway, does not provide legal advice or representation, and does not guarantee a favorable medical conclusion. The same evidentiary and medical standards apply to pro bono and commercial work.
How to refer a matter
An accredited VSO or approved Veterans organization should make the initial professional contact without sending protected health information through the public website. Secure record-transfer arrangements are made only after the matter is accepted for review.
